"Ages" .....A few weeks. The longer they take with the patch, the better the patch will be. Let them build it and test it in their own time.

As the old saying goes....

"The longer the stew's in the pot...the better it'll taste."

I heartily agree!

Also, A watched pot never boils.

I swear, when waiting for the 1.3 patch, hours seem like days, days seem like weeks. If I could just forget about it for a bit, it would get here in no time!

Heh...other cooking analogies:
Can't make an omlet without breaking a few eggs(not worrying about wounded crewmen or damage when attacking convoys).
Don't put all yer eggs in one basket(Don't put all your officers on the bridge when fighting aircraft).
No use crying over spilt milk(OMG! the still has got a leak in it! Battle stations! Damage control on the double! Hand me a cup! We'll drink our way out of this!)

Its the year 2021.... and ubi has finally released patch 1.3 for silent hunter 4, this is the largest patch ever made for a video game and fixes everything asked for by the community.

hehe.

Actually, it will fix everything period. No more Arab-Israeli conflict, and I finally get that new graphics card I so desperately need. Global warming? Nope, not after 1.3. Perfect weather all over the world. Good job Ubi, it certainly will be worth the wait!

It's the year 2022.... the SHIV community learns that 1.3 doesnt fix anything. The time spent to "build the patch" was instead spent in Bahamas. Now, the members of the dev team have forever lasting tan and a red nose from all the firejuice. :p

And all the folks who demanded the patch are now too old to do anything about it!:rotfl:
