Default Great performance

You know I have fantastic performance from this game and I have all options turned up and switched on and my system is only really mid range. FPS is regularly above 35 and the game looks absolutely awesome

I'm not bragging...just thought I'd post this because I read quite a few posts saying there were performance issues.

I have
AMD Athlon XP 64 3200+
2GB Value DDR ram
Gigabyte 7950GT 512MB Graphics card

Figures... because it runs acceptable with medium details on a system clearly below minimum specifications.

I totally agree. I run SH4 on a mid range system with a P4 3.0 processor, 2 GIG of RAM, and a GeForce XFX 7600GT 256MB video card. I run with everything maxed out, but with volumetric fog and the event camera disabled. I get frame rates of between 27fps and 40fps and the game runs as smooth as silk with no CTDs.

I'm running the game on high with an Athlon XP 2600+; 1 Gig of RAM; GF 6800GS and getting 25-40 (15 if there's a lot of ships) FPS in External view all the time. I think devs made a good job

Personally, I don't like the volumetric fog effect. Also, I run with AA at 8X and AF set to 4X, and when VF was enabled I was taking a frame hit.

If I did not get such a FPS hit with this I would enable it.

Sometimes a little stottering in the external view but that doesn't bother me...
In fact i'm happy we have a positive topic on SH4 once in a while!

I have a fairly high end system and still take a big hit with atmospheric effects enabled.

The fog doesent really hurt me too much.
