I only have a few books on this subject, but this one is a good basic study of all the interesting stuff:

Pirates, an illustrated history, by Nigel Cawthorne (ISBN 1-84193-520-4) - UK price when I bought it was 9.99, so pretty cheap too.

lol I am not sure what you are asking. You want a pirate memory game but without pirates or something? The first link was rated for 4 year olds, but I forgot to check what age the second one was for.

Maybe something like this?

No, it doesn't say that one is for ages four to eight.
Are there any shops that specialize in pirate memory games?

I think I will wait for a different pirate memory game.............................................. ....................................

I read this book a few years ago and it was pretty interesting.

Pirate Hunter - Richard Zacks

Official site?: http://www.echonyc.com/~rzacks/kidd/kidd.htm

It's about Captain Kid and written very well.
