I think I remember this problem coming up in the stock game. I haven't seen it in GWX.

In your first picture above, I think it really is off. The gyro angle is reading -2.6 degrees. Its close but not dead on to the 3 degrees indicated on the map area.

Thanks. That is exactly the point I was trying to make earlier. I don't think it is the bearing overlay... and this problem has indeed existed since stock SH3.

The worst thing about it IMHO, is that it appears to be an intermittant problem. Attempts at correcting it may make it worse.... and for the moment the means to correct it are not present. (at least as far as I can tell)

Really though if it is intermittant then it isn't much of an issue right? I mean this isn't NASA here, its the Kriegsmarine. TDCs are physical caluclators so you could just say that it glitched or something. Put it in the same category as dud torpedoes or early detonations. Its all in the role play right?

It is a constant feature of my game with GWX. When carrying out the fast 90 attacks the 180 bearing never aligns between the scope bearing and the bearing in the TDC. I just realign the TDC dial.

Never really thought about it that much, the 0 bearing is always ok.

Besides I feel dirty when I fire at less than 600m so a few degrees wont make much difference either way
