Someone posted a long time ago IIRC that if all forward tubes are open, then opening a rear one may well mean a forward one closes. Or something like that :hmm:

Hi Jim:
That's what happens with any torp tube when you select another from peri station. You change tube but the one you had selected before closes.
If you select the tubes from the TDC, they don't close, you can open all of them, but for sure you knew this.

I open all of them by right-clicking on the weapons officer, thenlook up to the torpedo switches and open them that way.
I sometimes go to the conning tower and control the switches that way, too.
Both will work.

Standard procedue on my boat since day 1 when attacking a convoy...

Select salvo I,II,III,IV press Q, all doors open simultaniously, then select single tube again as required.

Repeat for stern tubes, tubes? Type IX
