If you mean "depth charges in the water " then you will get those even if the DD is dropping them a few hundred yards away

Play with the event camera off
More immersive
Sure when you are first learning it helps to see what your torps are doing but after that tis a PITA
Every ships sinking\aircraft attacking and DC falling close it appears
Esp bad when you are using snorkel and the window pops up to show an aircraft in attack run
