I just found this litle treasure and I wonder, since it is editable with notepad, where should I go to edit crew experience, to have them gain experience a lot faster etc... I bet it is crew members, no?

Actually I think experience gained is defined per compartment for every sub, so you should try looking in the upc files for the boat.

For me, the experience was actually earned too easy, so I edited my Activeplayerunits.upc in the save game folder (having saved in base after a patrol), and decreased the crew experience :p

OK, I have now like 7 folders with names like 00000000, 0000000001, etc...
Which one is real?

Save a game in-base, then go to the save game folder and order everything there by date/time - you're looking for the most recent save game folder.

It's easier in-base because you only need to edit 1 file, if you do it in mid-patrol you also need to edit activeplayerunits.upc found in the UPCINITIAL subfolder of the saved game folder.

Yeah, BUT if you do it at the beginning of your career, you can do a REPLACE ALL for

current experience=0.000000

to whatever your flavor is
