The Scene.dat file has one line added that enables a Horizon catagory, where a Zmax of 3000 is set as pr. SHIII 16km visibility mod. This will enable you to finaly look over the horizon. The default value of that line is 1000 - that would give the stock visibility of 8km's
Unless I'm badly wrong, a Zmax of 3000 will give you indeed 24000 metres visibility, not 16000. The stock Zmax of 1000 means 8000 metres, so 3 times the same is 24000. Which is what I was currently using in my custom scene-dat file because smoke from ships that are hull and masts down the horizon can be seen at that range.

Don't touch it, it is good like that, simply be aware you are in fact giving a 24000 metres horizon in clear days

Uups - well it was ment to be only 16km with Zmax at 2000, but localy i use 3000 for 24km as correctly states it is. Must have put the wrong file in the zip..

Unless there is a massive complaint here - it will stay that way
