How to turn on higher resolution

I must admit that this happened to me (in menus at start) a couple of time long ago & I can't remember what I did, I think it had something to do with drivers & going back to old ones fixed it! What card do you have nVidia or ATI?

Here is exactly what happens, and this is with both the older res fix (that uses the compatibility tool), and the newer fix with the batch files.

Game starts fine, first screen is the GWX wolf howling video (replaced the UBI video I guess).

Then is the SH3 opening movie clip, no problem.

Then I should get the loading screen of the sub launching that pretty black and copper torpedo while the red loading line moves across the bottom of the screen.

But I don't get that.

And it seems that this is the moment the resoultion attempts to change, because I can see my mouse cursor, and it is reduced in size as my resolution increased to 1680x1050. I can see and move the mouse cursor, but the loading screen behind it is all just black screen, no pretty torpedo.

Could be a driver conflict with the latest driver. ATI X1950 Pro with 7.4 Catalyst drivers.

Not quite sure I want to go back to an old driver when this is the only thing that has an issue.
