sounds like a driver thing to me. try setting CCC to default and see if it persists. if ya wanna see anomalies, check my thread with that in it

Just trying here, but...
Check and see if the glow is related to your mimapping settings. Try with mipmapping low/off, and with high/Max. With my ATI X1950 Pro and catalyst drivers, mipmapping setting creates a hazy effect which might be what your seeing as a glow.
