That's cool but could you guys not dominate the SHIV mod forum with it.

I mean, I have all the respect in the world for you guys! really I do...it's just that, some of us have a different style of play and it's not all GWX.

It just kinda sucks all the oxygen out of the place. Maybe the mods could give you guys your own forum? that would be cool!

Now I've gone and done it I expect to be beaten about the head and shoulders now!

My bad, the expression was faulty...
I did not mean going back to the atlantic or something like GWX, I meant some super-uber mod or whatever to be released, new music/sounds and all that...

Also as far as I know, there are already lots of mods with new sub sounds, new intro movies and pics, new ships etc etc etc... I wouldn't like all of it in 1 mod... I want the ability to make my game as I want it, choosing mod by mod, making the game after my likeness!

What is it with the casual players around here getting so upset over realism mods being made? Nobody's forcing you to install the mod, just like it is with any mod. If you like the mod, then use it, but if you don't, then don't!

Sadly, I've seen this type of behavior from certain members since the time when SH3 was released. Do casual players really feel that threatened by realism mods?

Hey Luke, Well...it really didn't have anything to do with realism. Just the overwhelming GWX posts in the SHIII mode forum. Really kind of dum on my part that it even bothers me,
I cant explain it

But, since you brought it up, I've tried GWX and found it just the opposite of a realism mode. NYGM tonnage war is more my speed.

Maybe I didn't play GWX long enough and should load it again.

I'm waiting for a new DS card to add some REALISM to sims. Microsoft has promised their nextgen QuintupletSquared Cores will add DS11X (DirectSmell) to games. I can't wait to be surrounded by the rotten body odors of the unwashed guy that hot bunks with me, or the poor SOB with diarrhea who loves Cookie's beans. I could see a "GWX" kind of mod being a problem when it comes to looking for other mods.I thought GWX was awesome but I can only imagine the difficulty of finding a tiny "add on" in a forum that is full of GWX topics or having any "add ons" made at all.When a super mod takes all the interest it may result in far less user made stuff because no one wants it or needs it.I don't know if that has ever happened but I'm sure it is possible :hmm:.

Maybe a better example would be Walmart single handedly destroying all local businesses because it has EVERYTHING an average person needs :rotfl:

lack of selection is bad .Giving the larger and more widely played mods their own mod forums seems like a sound idea IMO
