Wonder why no worldmap? If Ubisoft could do it twice, why not microsoft? (it IS microsoft right?)

Btw, have to add that the world map in SH3 is not quite correct. For example, The Hawaii islands are just there on the map, but I sailed right through the place where Oahu should be, and I could not see any island there.....(what I was doing at Oahu instead of the Central Pacific is another story....)

It's not Microsoft it's a small Dutch company called VStep who also develop proffessional level simulations. They have adopted a Microsoft style packaging which is why every one thinks it's their game.

If it was a MS game it might indeed have the whole world but VStep doesn't quite have a MS budget and Shipsims seem to have be an even smaller niche market than train sims (which MS has already given up on)! Hence with each new version of Ship Sim things will get incrementally better.

Walkthroughs are already available for the original game SS2006 via the recently released addon disc (ie the new ships in the addon have that feature).
