The differences about NYGM and GWX. Well, a hard question but I will try to answer. I've played NYGM long time and when the NYGM stop work on their mod, I started to looking in direction of GWX, why? Because GWX is really amazing and I must said a live mod (with many new things everyday which may be in future versions), there are lot of new ships, aircrafts, have excellent campaign and historically very accurate also, lot of things is fixed, added positive buoyancy (very similar to negative buyoancy as seen in NYGM), and lot of other things. For realism, well the aircraft cover of Bay of Biscay is better then NYGM, for example in 1943 you cannot sail on surface in daytime, also in the night (yes, the radar coverage), destroyers are deadly also in GWX. Probably the sensors are different, but you have very cool option if you very like NYGM sensors, you can add this in GWX with mod by Ducimus "AI NYGM sensors" I don't know the realy name of that mod but you can find mod by search, personaly I use the great mod by Rubini "Stay alert crew fix mod" and very satisfied with effects of that mod. Things I very like from NYGM is slideout smallTDC dials, Torpedo realism mod and Assisted plotting mod. If you like it you may find that mods on my FileFront page http://hosted.filefront.com/poorsailor
Finaly, the GWX is great mod and worth long period of playing!
