Try phoning in a convoy contact report. You will get a message from PAC to either intercept or they will "assign other assets to intercept".

Even if you radio in after completing your "patrol" or task assigned if your out of munitions you will not recieve further orders.

If you stop, refit, and then radio in another patrol report you will be given a new task (if the first task was accomplished).

It seems to be tied into how many munitions you have left on board.

Has anyone else noticed that when you select "all messages" it only shows "messages received". I see my own messages in "messages sent" but they never show up under "all messages". Minor bug?

Are you looking at the top of the message list? The messages aren't displayed chronologically. All the sent messages are at the top, then all the received messages after that.

The only status reports HQ responds to are out of torpedoes and mission accomplished (but only to the 1st time you report under these conditions.)
Contact reports are more likely to bring you a variety of responses. Again, you only get one response per convoy/group.
