Default Fleet Composition

Just a quick question to throw out there...

Anyone modding the composition of both fleets?

I prefer realistic patrols and kinda tired of constantly running into Yamatos, Fusos, and Kongos. Great to sink but not very rewarding when I run into their task force twice every patrol nearly.

I may give it a go if anyone could tell me which file to edit.

you would need to modify the task force layers in the campaign files. you can open them with the mission editor.

I think the same.

too many big task forces and big units in the game. good for arcade and mainstream users but not for realism.
a good idea could be reducing the number of battleships and carriers,

is matter of time that modders take a look into campaign files and make a more realistic war.

Now it´s like a serious sam with warships. :rotfl:

We need more escort ships in the 500 to 900 ton range to escort the
convoys. DDs were used mostly for TFs and the subchaser is too light
(170 tons) for any kind of heavy weather....

If you switch the "No. 13 minesweeper" to an escort, it is a good stand-in for escorts in that range.

I don't remember seeing a mod for that?
