Default Very Nice

Very nice screen, Scoochy. Just enough editing applied without overdoing it.

I'm totally new to this image posting stuff. You guys have some nice shots there.

This particular scene struck me. I took numerous shots, but I think this one is the best. It's only 1024 x 768, and looks best in very low light conditions. It's my current wallpaper.

Click on "all sizes" and then choose "extra large".

So I really enjoyed reading this thread yesterday and after work decided to play some SH4. I had no plans on getting a dramatic shot (I didn't after all), but I had just received a Balao class and sunk a merchant when the following happened:

I was racing away from the scene of the crime at flank on the surface since I was afraid of local shipping and/or aircraft coming after my sub. Barely out of view of the sunk merchant I got the aircraft spotted message. First time with a Balao and dual AA guns I put my well trained men on them with a Fire at will command. I'm viewing the show externally and am trying to get the 2 bombers in view along with the ship.

They are closing fast and have not yet begun their climb before the drop. Both my AA gunners unload on full auto. First the plane to the right bursts into flame, then the plane on the left. Since they have not yet turned towards the sky to drop their munitions they are literally on a crash course for my boat.

They BOTH virtually side by side, and engulfed in flames, fly less then 50ft over the conning tower of the sub. Literally 2 seconds after they went over and crashed into the sea directly besides the boat I went @#$#!!! That would have been the perfect shot for this thread! Oh well.....next time.

This happens so often you'll get snother chance. The one I like is when my gunners can't hit ****z but they can shot the bomb load and its explodes like napalm....

this is a shot of uss porpoise, running out to sea, from pearl harbor, the attack began about 08:01 in the game.
porpoise was moored next to a sub tender, once the attack began, which was as soon as the mission started,i booked to flank
speed,
manned the AA gun, and navigated out of the harbor from the AA gun. it took about twenty minutes to get out of the harbor,
and porpoise took heavy damage to the conning tower from a zero that was shot down, and crashed in the water very close to
the sub. both scopes were destroyed, radio and SD antennas damaged but repairable, and light damage to the 3 inch. i was able to shoot down two fighters.
at the moment i am at PD, outside the harbor repairing damage, and once underway again, i'll be heading for midway, hopefully to get the repairs done on the scopes.
if that wont happen, then i head to japan without scopes, to insert someone from MI.
all i can say is thank you to the modder that wrote the campaign that included PH attack, for the first few minutes of the attack was incredibly intense.
i was one of them that bought the co;;ectors edition, and just playing the PH attack was worth every penny i spent, this game is great!

does anybody know where the replays are stored?
