For quite a while now I have been using a latency adjuster utility to fix microstutters. I don't pretend to understand how it works but many flight sim fanatics swear by it and 180000 downloads from just one site can't be wrong:http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=951.
Run it and set your video card to 64. (its probably at 128 or 256 as default). I'm told (but not tried it) that you can cure some sound issues with this as well. Spec: AMD 4200 X2 64 Win XP up to date 2Gb 7800GTX Audigy2 hope this helps someone PS I get no stutters in SHIV Phil |

This could be dangerous to use, be careful when tweaking things like this, motherboard and video card manufacturers setup their cards and boards to work on certain frequencies.

I tried this for Richard Burns Rally ( was getting terrible stutters ) and it fixed those stutters. Have not noticed any bad side effects running other games.

I just did a quick search at SimHQ and Flightsim.com, couldn't find any bad news threads. It didn't work for everyone but it didn't fry boards or cards either. I have used it trouble free on 2 machines now. but as always if youre worried don't do it.

I've been using this tool since version 2.7 an it works for me. Guru3d seems to have an older version then what the programer put out. Guru3D has version 3.1 an the owner has version 3.2x but his site is down or he gave up on it... He originaly made it for Maya users who were having trouble with there sound card.
This was the owner original page for DL an discussion but is down now http://www.esi-pro.co.kr/spboard/boa...age=1&go_cnt=0 I'm using version 3.2 |
