I'm deeply sorry: the tv version indeed is available on DVD. I was so sure there is only the director's cut available that I didn't search for it. Again: sorry.

@ the people asking what's in the extra minutes: there are no more sinkings but more atmosphere. I think the time down on the ground at gibraltar is much longer in the tv version to transport the many hours the crew fought against the flooding.

Been a while since I saw the "original" and the Director's Cut, but you are correct about the 300min one adding a lot more atmosphere. More time with the crew doing daily activities, I want to say that the part where they sit on the bottom is indeed longer as well.

I went out looking on Amazon recently and saw the Director's and the Original Uncut version (300m), so I wasn't sure which to get and if it would be worth it. Thankfully one of the cable channels I get here (IFC I think it was, or the other indie films channel) played it recently. In fact, they've played it about 3 times in the last 2 weeks. First two times I managed to catch it about 1/2 way through, 3rd time I got to see the whole thing. In my opinion it's definitely worth it.

Another thing to note, from the 300m version I saw out on Amazon, is that it includes both the 300m version on the first Disc *AND* the Director's Cut on the 2nd Disc.
