Is it worth it for me to upgrade from the VIIB to the VIIC

I find the upgrade to VIIC not very worth it. I prefer to pay for better upgrades. Plus theres nothing wrong with a VIIB. Even Silent Otto stuck with his VIIB.

I just think that 3000 renown is a bit steep.

If I were u, I won't do so.

The VIIB is enough for you to do anything, and its assigned patrol grid is much better than a long range U-boat (think about a ten thousand mile patrol with a IXC to Carnabbin)

Save the percious renown for later upgrades such as rader and decoys

I'd be tempted to keep my trusty VIIB

they're cracking boats, and from reading the specs of the VIIB and VIIC....there's little to no noticeable difference in the specs in the manual.

I'd stick with the VIIB, unless you plan on going for some long range patrols to the East coast of America or the Carribean....hmmmm, wonder if the VIIB could sail that far out from a port in France if your careful with your fuel :hmm:
