I am making a MOD named ATTACK JAPAN MOD,
the ship which coming from SH4,but ,the wake and damage texture doesn't work ! who do konwn how to edit a val file? |

1st! You have to know how to hex edit.
Now, take a SH3 val file from a ship near to same size of SH4 ship. You must get the object IDs of the SH4 ship for: Main object (such as NCC_Shipname) SiajB SiajF SiajF2 Shipwake Then you open the val file. locate the parent IDs of the SiajB SiajF SiajF2 Shipwake and replace with the SH4 Id's The main object ID will be for the Damage textures. I'm nearly finished with a rule for that also.
Saw it comeing a mile away. :rotfl: :rotfl: Once you have all the id's, open the val file with a hex editor. Replace the ID's with the SH4 ship matching ID's There are many to replace so do a find and replace all on each ID. |
