Default Returning Home, taking Lonnng

Is it normal to wait like 5-10 minutes to return home from a patrol? even with x1024+ Time Compression?

And i notice it gets REALLY laggy when i get near ports (im assuming because of other boats)

Liking the game.. just not enjoying the LONG waits of nothing-ness required to a) get to mission and b) return from mission.....

5-10 minutes your doin fine

Yes it lags as you approach a port. Got to load, position, collision calcs, and render all those objects. "Fetch lag".

I dont think you "have" to return to base to end a mission.

Understood. If you were here when SH3 was under development, there was huge mob who decried "warping" to mission areas. They seem to have disappeared. Anyway, the best solution would be to have an "End Patrol" option. Stay tuned.

You max at 1024 when going to/from a patrol area? Once I am confident of not being attacked I max out my TC at the 8K setting.

An End Patrol option would be nice. But I hope an extra bonus (renown) will be given to skippers who do not use that option.

I've tried 8000k time compression... but it just seems to run at 1 FPS, even though im just looking at a map with 1 icon on it... I know the game is doing alot of work in the background..

I try to stay between 1000-2500 time compression for best peformance vs. speed..

At 8000 i cant even get control of the game for another 10-15 seconds
