Default Leaving Port in Career Mode.

I "thought" I was fairly savvy at this but how DO you leave port in Career Mode. With the quick mission and patrol setup, you start at sea. Please forgive a "newbie"...but I could use a step by step rundown to leave port.

Thanks

The easy way is to zoom in on the chart/map and plot a course then sit back and enjoy the view

Leaving and entering port is one of my favorite parts of the game. So much to look foward to and so much behind. Some of the best visuals.

You can elect to start out of port too and that choice is the default. When starting a career patrol you need to tick where you want to start from, at sea or in next to the docks.

I usually pick right out at sea, Pearl Harbour has a few too low FPS's for me.

Do you receive extra points in the mission when you start in port?

I don't think it makes a difference. From the file Basic.cfg:
[RENOWN]
RenownReachGridObjCompleted=500
RenownPatrolGridObjCompleted=200
CompletedPatrol=100
NEUTRAL=-1
ALLIED=1
AXIS=-10
WrongShipSunk=-5000

SecondRankRenown=3500
EndCampaign=-5000

OK Guys. I got it figured out. Finally had some time to sit down and hash things out. Appreciate all the input.
