Default [REL] Minimalistic Optics

This minor modification replaces stock overlay textures of the Periscope and TBT screens. The intent was to provide textures that detract as little as possible from what you are supposed to see through the “lens”.
  • Changes In detail;
    • Viewport borders black allover
    • Less obtrusive Reticle
    • Bearing overlay 1° marks + new font
    • Weathering applied
  • INSTALLATION
Extract the content of OAKsMinimalisticOptics.zip into your SHIV directory, acknowledge Overwriting existing (stock) files. Using manual installation; Bearing.dds goes into your SHIV\Data\Menu\Gui folder. Periscope_Mask_1024.dds and TBT_1024.dds into your SHIV\Data\Menu\Gui\Layout folder.

Nice!

I'm guessing this isn't JSGME ready?

OakGroove, not to be pedantic or anything, but...the bearing overlay is off by one degree. When you center the TBT or periscope view (View to Heading command), the bearing overlay is set to Bearing 1, instead of Bearing 0.

I know, I know, it's a small issue, but...if you have a moment, might you correct that?

Aye, the bearing overlay is now correctly centered. The DL-Link has just been updated.

Re. HUD-dials;

it needs some minor work before shipping to a port near you. Expect a release sometime around 20:00 GMT.

I'm very picky about which mods I use... I am using these...

Though I would suggest in Bearing.dds you move everything right by one pixel... So it lines up correctly at 0, as it is slightly off at the moment (I've done it already and it took all of 30 seconds work...
