I bet in six months SHIV will look much better and with some great mods. But for now SHIII is the best.

And also I like the looks of Libtery ships, C2,C3,T3and T2 tankers much better looking ships, then those jap cargo jobs.

I've also decided to shelf SH4 for a while and come back to SH3. The biggest reason is that my hardware is just not good enoughf or SH4. I've tried to tweak the settings and its no use. Even at min settings it's chunk city. But I think the game is BEAUTIFUL. Some day when I have a new computer, and a few new SH4 patches, I'll play it hard. That leads to my second major cluster of issues - buggy damage control and TDC. For me it's all about torpedo firing solutions, and getting tarnished and half-sunk. I don't want to fight bugs in the TDC, and if a broken damage model is going to send me to the surface, or the seafloor, arbitrarily, then I can't hack it. On the other hand, the point Ducimus made about a serious damage model is appealing. Maybe in a future patch...

Anyhow, right now I'm in the Maldives in an IXC and as happy as can be. GWX forever!

I think Pen is refering to the way history looks at the Axis as being the bad guys and the allies as the good ones

Yes war is an ugly thing - a necessary evil sometimes - but this is a game and should be treated as such

Well this reject is back as well

My secondment to the US Asiatic Fleet lasted all of 48 hours. In fairness to the Ubi team I didn't leave because of any bugs or gameplay problems, I left because it just felt wrong to be skippering a u-boat that isn't a u-boat. That and I dont hold the neccessary degree needed to operate the submarine management screen

But mostly because GWX is better

I returned in Bergen a couple of hours ago after leaving the pacific for the time being. It's not the bugs that concern me the most, but the complete lack of you actually being there! The voices are dull and most of the time i can't understand them (i'm not german!!

). The enemy's are dumber then the monster from painkiller and controlling the boot is a bitch...

I really hope it gets better in time but my biggest fear is that the pacific just isn't my theater for submarine's.

Go to the pacific now is too dangerous, you have to fight against japanese and your boat bugs at the same time,:rotfl:

broken devices, pumps leakings, radar malfuntions... dumb repair crew...
