![]() I never got around to trying SH3 online, but maybe once this game stabilizes and I get a few patrols under my belt it might be fun to try this multiplayer mode. I wonder if everybody will have to have the exact same mod/version to be able to do this? I always like to run lots of mods and a few of my own tweaks, so that was always an obstacle to trying to get involved in the multiplayer scene for me - once I got SH3 like I wanted it, I couldn't develop much enthusiasm for having to run a different version for multiplayer. I understand that it's real important in flight sims and twitchy first person shooters to make sure everybody has the exact same setup, but is it really that important in a game like this? I guess unless you only play with people you know real well there's always the chance someone childish will try to get some unfair advantage out of some uber-boat mod or something and spoil the game, but I'd hope the chances of that would be a lot smaller with a subsim crowd and it would be OK to play with whatever setup one normally uses for single player. Guess we'll see.
