Welcome!
Note that we also have a small forum for helicopter sims, and for tank sims. If you are in Naval stuff exclusively, and modern subs, Dangerous waters is the one to go for. Or the predecessor Sub command, if you can pick it up for smile price. check the related forums. If you are in historical subs (WWII), you can choose between Silent Hunter III with a very good and massive mod (900+ MB) GFX, and the recently released Silent hunter 4. The advantage of the first is that it is well-modded and freed of many bugs, while the latter (SH4) still is in the patching phase. If the patching is properly done and all bugs eliminated, the future will be bright. I personally have choosen to stay with SH3 for the months to come, for it will take them that long to clean the sim, I'm sure. Check the related forums. If you are in for tanks, the king of modern stuff is Steel beasts Professional PE, any questions on that and I'll be your obedient servant; while WWII-related there is a promising title in the making, to be released hopefully soon. Visit the tank forum, which is a calm place, but links to many substantial ressources for SBP. Helicopters: I stay with Longbow 2 for the moment. There is confusion, hope and caution being circulated concerning Enemy Engaged 2. But not much solid info on that. Try the helicopter forum, which also is a quite place currently. Strategy games an option for you? P.S. Your specs will run all the mentioned sims fine, with the exception of SH4, which in principle also will be run by you system, but currently creates odd and massive brakedowns in frames with some spec-combinations, it seems. Not all are affected in the same way. Check the forum. P.P.S. What racing sims have you thought of? I'm a GTR2 and RBR man, maybe I can talk you back into it ![]()
