Noticed this also.
It's as though the sub is on a constant plane only rocking slightly from a middle pivot point with no ability to rise or fall with the ocean. This was probably the case in SH3 as well but I must say that I didn't notice it in SH3 whereas in SH4 it's very noticeable to me.
Need to at least increase the sensitivity to wave effects.

Gonna add my voice to this one as well. SH3 wasn't perfect, but it seems more pronounced in SH4, possibly because the boats are bigger or something. As stated, some boats also ride way too high out of the water. One of my boats was nearly completely out at one point and you saw the screws above the water more than below it.

It's relatively minor, but it's also an immersion thing. So I hope to see some improvements in the wave action to the boat.

Benard fill the sub with helium again?

Default Not only a problem surfaced

Hi

I subscribe to this and it is not only an issue when you're surfaced. I notice that when submerged at periscope depth in heavy seas my whole conning tower resurfaces/becomes visible in the trough of a wave.

Very odd and I also do not know (although I do have a suspicion) whether that means that destroyers can visibly see you (you're visibly visible, but the in game depth meter says you're at 60 feet).

I can tell you in SH3 doing over 65-knots, the boat would porpouse in and out of the water. Anything over that speed and it would go under every other jump. In SH4, there is none of that...I have been over 100knots and not a thing...like its on glass.

I think this problem was addressed in RFB. By changing the wave attenuation value in the cfg. , the subs no longer fly out of the water in rough weather (at least that's what I'm seeing so far), but rather they slice through it more naturally.

I agree that the pitch and roll motion definitely needs work.
