Play the game for 12 hours like me and you will find the interface fairly easy. Some of it even makes sense
 . I like it and it is not as easy as SH3 but you get accustom to very quickly.Now my wife hates this game as well

I love what they did with the crew. I loathed micromanaging them. Now all I have to do is move some to damage control if something happens. Yay!
I really like the TDC setup while in periscope view. Though sliding the dials needs to be done in short strokes, I can input manual data pretty damn fast.
