By Jove. It worked. Magnificient!

I uninstalled SH4, kept my saves.
Reinstalled the game. Applied 1.1 patch. Loaded up my patrol and Viola! I can dive using the gauge without CTD!

Hooray.

I haven't been able to resolve this particular frustration.

I went thru all the steps except saving the saved files, I deleted those. I used sober's suggestion and ran the CCLEANER also. Still no joy. Please help!
