The problem with Communism and Socialism is that it is based on the very things that I despise - PC. It is purely a PC based mentallity. Why would I want to live in a world based on PC? I admire people standing up and taking a risk to design something extrodanary. Socialism however is completely opposite of this - it helps out people that just don't care to help themselves. Why should I help someone who does not want to help themselves? Why should I help someone who hangs out looking for a free handout so that he or she doesn't have to work? And you wonder why the Soviet Union went bankrupt - it doesn't take rocket science to figure it out.

My views are that we've been fighting against the very values we are turning to for over half a Century. I've watched my country slowly going off the deep end over it too. Am I the only one finding this a bit ironic?

PS. ALl our troops that died fighting Communism died for nothing. We are turning into the very thing we have fought against for so long.

Religion has never been eliminated (or spirituality)...it's a fundamental human need.
Is it? I don't believe in any religion, nor do I believe in any spirituality. I believe in the now. This life, and helping as many people live as comfortably as possible through it. Obviously religion, nor spirituality, is not a fundamental human need.
Abraham Maslow disagrees.

Religious affiliation is a clear-set path to self-actualization.

I remember having to know about Maslows Hierarchy years ago when I was getting my CFI ticket. I guess all teachers have to know about this.

Yeah, everything in popular educational theory comes back to The Hierarchy. In fact, some of the other teachers and I have pool during every in-service meeting where we try to pinpoint how long it will be before the Maslow pyramid is flashed up on the powerpoint or overhead. I always lose.

I agree with the application of scientific theory as applied by this guy is wrong too. Too small a study group to even call it anything more than a hypothesis.
