What mod after long shore leave?

Hello there all, after a long pause playing SHIII (RUB and sh3 commander) i am returning to the game and in two or three weeks i also get a new computer which is able to run all graphics extravaganza.
So,what is a mod with good graphics and so much realism as possible for SHIII (Yes,SH3 because i dont own SH4 yet and i am not so interested about Pacific theater).
Opinions ???

The popular consensus seems to be GWX and that is my recomendation
but there are other mods as well that also greatly enhance the SH3
experience. depending on what you want.

super mods for comprehensive changes
music and radio mods
skins for your boat
additional ships
and such

welcome though Kaleun welome back aboard
have a look here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=78792

I recomend you visit the stickys on or about each supermod you might be interested in. Details, battles, gameplay, etc. Check out the manuals or readme files, let this information be your decision. Asking what mod to use in here is like gas on a campfire.
Or, heck with a fancy new pc you could spend some time with each one and see what you like that way.

There's alot of talent in each of the mega-mods, you could use JSGME and try a few others as well.

Well, if you are no pro in Sh3 you can start with some minor mods like Sh3 commander 2.7, Sh3Gen (adds missions really nice!), Hollywood damage mod, some radio mod, rub-harbourtrafficmod and off you go

GWX You will not need another supermod in SH3. It's more than a Mod it's an experience

Or try the mod that links the compartment forward of the central with the central itself and opens the hatch. That mod is mightily cool! The thread is called 'Open Hatch....' and is quite large already.
