event cam on only. That way I get to see sinking and torpedo hits but I don't have to resist escort spying.

Good idea, that's my choice also then.

Probably with externals on, but full real besides that. Wanna see the new graphics and make some nice desktop backgrounds.

Honest answer is, it depends how different the TDC is. It's taken me years to get used to how the German one works. If it's very different, i'll be keeping WO supportt unchecked. Just so i can hit something.

External view on for me. Be good if they had the same setup like in SH2 where in external view while submerged your view range was limited you could not view above the water, so you had the view of your sub but had to go to periscope depth to view above using your scope. Or was that a mod i used?

I like like eye candy too much to go without the external cam, I'll crank up all the rest of the settings though.

I'll be playing with realistic settings up high, but that external cam shall remain enabled.

I also like playing at 100% Realism from the get go, except for external view of course. Its nice to look at your sub as it heads to the patrol zone. It also allows for perspective, giving you a feeling for the environment you are in.

But I never use external views to any tactical advantage..

Default Counting down to the 22nd!

I'm sure at some point I'll be playing at 100% but, I think if you are to restrict yourself to just the stations the devs created in SH4, then it's an even more claustrophobic experience than the real thing! At least in reality, as ship's Capt, you were able to roam the entire sub at your perogative. I know a number of us 'end-users' would've liked to've seen the whole sub rendered, with the ability to 'free-roam'. That would've been more like 100% realism, but alas it wasn't meant to be. Well, at least I got my beloved transparent surface . Perhaps SH6?

OKay... did NOT know about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kick ass!!!

Reminds me of the old days of Rouge Spear when the real fun was watching the mini-movie you made blowing holes in people. Those were th good ol' days... maybe happy times again with SHIV.

Because of the replay system I'll be playing 100% realism.

im playing with external camera on as well i didnt get a high end system to look at charts and a control room so the camera feature will not be disabled but i will play with other options enabled i think we should have a wargame with neal and see if we can win against him with him being a destroyer captain i think it would be interesting

All settings at high realism but external camera is a must have for me.

but i don´t use the camera as a scope because it expoils the game.

While I won't be getting it for a while (don't think my computer can handle it) I will go with most everyone else here and play with camera enabled. With all the cool new effects it would be a shame to miss them.

That said, once I've seen it all, I'll go the same route as I did with SH3 - 100% realism baby!
