Murmansk is a Soviet harbour where the allied convoys are going to...

Rob Additional: Yep, I found it. Is it worthwhile going there in October 1944? |

Yes, there's ships there and two convoy routes. The last time I went to Murmansk it was lightly guarded, that was in late '42 or early '43. I never had the nerve to go there in '44 though. Well, to be fair, I've never survived into '44.
Doing battle with those Red convoys up north is awesome. Horrific storms, bitter cold, the ultimate clash between communism and fascism, Allied task forces sailing up and down up and down along the coast of Norway and the air thick with planes. Man, it doesn't get any better than that.....

No, really, is GWX too forgiving regarding the AI flakgunners? I remember seeing that NYGM has some tweaks regarding these. Doesn't GWX include anything similar? I remember downing an aircraft in a single mission in GWX with 20/2 and 37 guns and AI crew, but on my patrols I never tried anything similar. Tried my luck with a fighter manually once (as it can't do too much damage) but saw that it doesn't pay so I resumed with the crash-dive technique. I don't miss the GWX tweaks regarding this as I don't use the AI flak gunners but shooting down 10 airplanes in a whole career would seem pretty unlikely (thus, rather silly), not to mention in a single patrol.
