Ok you have to go to a site like photobucket or image shack

register

upload the pictures you want to your file their.

then it gives you code to copy and paste

for either thumbnail the picture itself or embedding code

then you just copy the img code you want and

paste it into your posts.

I was! LOL

there are websites that host your images for online use.

PhotoBucket for example http://photobucket.com/

start a free acct.

read through how to upload off of your drive.

then read through how to copy an image onto

the forums from there

each picture you upload will have three little codes beside
it

for a full image use img type code copy the code and paste it
into your post on subsim save the post and the picture appears
in the post.

To go with what Mush is saying, also check out the link I posted, the very first post is an explanation on how to post scrennies. It is a bit of trial and error, the process, don't sweat it, give it a go and you will be fine

Instructions to take and post a Screenshot
1. Take screenshot by pressing CTRL+F11
2. Change the Screenshot to .jpg and resolution to 640x480
3. Go to www.imageshack.us and host the image there
4. Copy the "Direct link to image" url
5. When you want to post it here, make it look like this:
"[img]UrlOfTheImageYouCopied[/img]" whitout those " "

At imageshack when uploading you can customize the size of your pick on the upload, as mentioned above preferably 640 x 480. After uploading you will see a bunch of links, the one you want to copy and then paste is the " direct link to image ", then you come back to subsim, click on the insert image icon, paste your imageshack link and that's it.

You will see your pic in your message, if you don't then something is wrong, so don't post, otherwise you will have what you posted up top a bunch of times.
You will get this

RDP

Below, from that thread!

Once you have the image on a host, use vb code.
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/misc.php?do=bbcode

Also an image that is .jpg 800x600 is generaly the norm. Off the top of my head I don't know if this form frowns on larger images. Jpg images also load faster then png images.

I think you are right on the jpeg format, and I think because of size. Good tip
