Nice kill, right there
My first carrier hid himself in a slow moving convoy in heavy fog and at night, had to shoot the bugger on Sound I missed 1 torp but hit it with 3 others EDIT: pic ![]()

Had time to polish off this patrol, I thought anything that happens would probably be less then thrilling. I mean what do you do with the game after a score like that?
On course back to AL96 via BE, Ship Spotted! Prince of Wales Battleship! screens taken at night we all know how the quality goes. Tried to lighten - sharpen them up a bit. Battleship steaming A little close Got in one good punch Where did that u-boat go u49 Patrol Log Keeping the Faith!

Good on ya Danurve!!!!
Out of curiosity, which mods are you using for the officer stations, the map screen, and the oversized instruments? Your screenies are great! ![]()

Sept 1939...my first patrol with GWx mod.
Im on my way back to port after patrolling AM19. I get a report just SW of Scappa that a enemy task force is near me. I plot to intercept. The task force path goes 700m RIGHT in front of me...What did I see.... 1 Illustrious class Carrier 1 Fiji Class Battleship 1 SouthHampton class 3 DDs How many torps did I have left.... 2 fwd...1 rear. DoH!! Shot 2 fwd at Illustrious, and 1 rear at the Fiji..... Sank the Illustrious and damaged the Fiji. Then spent the next 8 game hours dodging the escorts and aircraft. DAMN! I wish I had a full loadout at that time! |

I sank a carrier that was escorting a MASSIVE convoy once. It was probably the largest convoy i've ever seen... had 5 columns and probably 10 rows....
Heavily escorted with two cruisers of some kind escorting the carrier which was right in the middle. Aircraft were flying off this thing like mad bees the entire time leaving scope time to a minimum... There was no way I was going to catch them submerged at 20+ knots.... or so I thought, but they're zig zag course took a zig RIGHT down my intercept path.... I sank 7 merchants plus the carrier and both cruisers. That was all the torps I had except for externals on an IX.... it was like 80thousand tons i was pretty happy ![]() |
