Default Install Question

Guys, truly great work! -

I'm downloading them now, and have a couple of the archive files already. Question is, I like the idea of installing them via JSGME - keeps it 'cleaner', but after extracting the two archives I have I have a file directory like this:

GWX Skin Pack - Destroyers
Date

Then a list of files called:

19390901
19391001
19391101
etc.
etc.

Thing is, at what point do I copy them into the MODS folder for JSGME?

Do I just take all the 19390901 type folders, or from date beforehand?

How does it know if a 19390901 file is a destroyer or escort etc. etc.?

Hope this makes sense, but I'm not seeing them in-game, so must be doing something wrong!

Cheers all!

Px3000

Update - Now have all 4 archive files downloaded.

It helps to read the installation instructions:

This skin pack is over 500MB so the download has been divided into four parts. To install you will need to unzip and copy all files into your \SH3 Commander\Date\ folder.

If you are not very familiar with the use of SH3 Commander and how to install the files please read the documentation that came with SH3 Commander. I will try to explain it here but the SH3 Commander help file provides a more complete explanation.

First, look in your SH3 Commander folder and you will see a folder called Date. Inside the Date folder is a long list of numbered folders starting with 19390901 which stands for September 1st, 1939 in yymmdd format. Inside each of the numbered folders is a set of folders that match the folder structure of SHIII. These are the folders and files that get copied into SHIII based on your patrol date.

Now look at one of the unziped skin pack files you downloaded. The first folder is just the name of the zip file and does not matter. Inside that folder is a folder called Date and inside the Date folder is a long list of numbered folders that correspond to the same yymmdd format as mentioned above.

All you need to do to install these files manually is unzip the archive and then select the Date folder in each and copy/paste it into the SHIII Commander folder. The folder structure of SH3 Commander will remain unchanged if you did this correctly. By copying these files all you are doing is adding a Sea folder to each of the SH3 Commander\Date\yymmdd\data\ folders and inside that Sea folder is a list of folders for each ship whose skins change on that date.

To install using JSGME just set it up to copy the files in the same way. Sorry that is not more clear but it really does not seem that complicated to me
