Lite harbour traffic should fix or improve your situation but I can't help feeling that this means you miss out on so much 'eye candy'.
If you experience an improvement by carrying out the above mentioned operation I would recommend you upgrade your card as soon as finances permit ![]() |

You are going to get stuttering at high TC (512 to 1024) with your system because SH3 is tracking & loading ships & planes beyond your visual range. You'll notice this the most in the north sea. As for the crashes at high TC, this can be explained by the fact that you are probably colliding with a ship or have been attacked by a plane and sustained damage. SH3 can't knock you out of TC fast enough to register the damage and therefore dumps you to the desktop. There are 2 possible solutions to this.... 1)Adjust your sound card acceleration, either by dxdiag or through the audio properties in your control panel. 2)Increase your pagefile (aka virtual RAM) No.1 is your best bet as you have enough RAM installed. ![]() Just be carefull with high TC for two reasons, the first I've already mentioned, the second, well you are missing so much traffic while at high TC. Always try to reduce your TC in areas where you suspect shipping or aircraft. Welcome to Subsim. ![]()

The only way around this is have dual installs of SH3. One as Vanilla and one as GWX. There is a handy program for doing this, it's called MultiSH3 and you will find it with a forum search. It lets you tell each intallation where to save your career patrols and comes with a concise readme telling you how accomplish a dual install. However, I can promise you once you are used to GWX you will never want to go back to Vanilla. ![]() You can have as many career saves as you want. Just use different captain names and each respective save will be stored under that name.
