Are you joking? The 7950GTX is the best DX9 card out there at the mo and the 7600GT is a High Mid Range card. I sometimes find that researching a topic is good it gives you quite a bit of knowledge. Now when I was building my computer I went through planning for 5 days researching all the parts will they work will they fit are they a good bang for buck. At the card range I was looking at the 7600GT was same pricing as a X1600 even though it totally creamed it in tests. If you ever have any questions on cards just google 7600GT vs X1600 and you'll come up with comparisons none of these tests work if you get an artifact card such as the 9250. EG 9250 vs 7600GT I highly doubt you would get any results I beleive the 9250 was a good card.... 2 or 3 possibly even 4 years ago. 7600GT is highly reccomended and will play all modern games at a fairly high setting and SH3 at all high full AA and still give you some good performance.

What he is saying is that PCI-Express expansion slots and PCI expansion slots are completely different.

PCI-Express cards will not fit in PCI slots. Totally different things. If you are stuck with 'regular' PCI, the best card ever released for that format was the VisionTek Radeon X1300 PCI. If you want the fastest PCI nVidia card, the best option is the 3dFuzion GeForce 6200 PCI. But either way, you pay through the nose for such a 'modern' GPU running through such an ancient interface.

When buying hardware you should consider software first, always!

nVidia has the upper hand over ATI in that regard, since most of today's top games are designed with the nVidia card in mind (remember the advertisement: "The way it's meant to be played")

Now, in regard to SH3, please kind in mind that no matter what card you have, even on a super ninja computer, you'll still get poor performance from time to time... it's just wasn't written robustly enough to avoid those strange hickups when in high performance demand situations, even if you're computer can run it blazingly fast on all other situations (Specialy if you mod it)

I never got any problems on my PC running all full with GWX.... HL2 was built with ATI sorry I just loved that game far too much. Anyway ATI is merged with AMD now so.... Carry on. Im personally an AMD/ATI guy but my current system is an AMD/Nvidia shoulda got a C2D but like I said I have a strong AMD BIAS. Anyway with my 7600GT its giving me quite a BIAS to the green team. Oh and for the person who started the post I don't know if you read my other one throughly. I had a 9600XT thats 256mb (different from standard 9600) it pretty much beats the 9250. I upgraded that to a 7600GT. Sorry to say but buying a 9250 would be a giant mistake. No seriously a very very large mistake. The numbers dont always mean everything I think a 6800GS can beat a 7300 (both Nvidia) and the 9250 is ATI so you definately cant compare numbers there but you can most of the time eg 7600GT>6800GS>6600GT>X700>9600XT>9250

Trust me the 9250 is way wat down the ladder.
