I think it's there "Silent Mode" feature that is auto-set when an Audigy card is installed
 .That or it's just M$ way of saying to Creative: "Since we did not hear from you when we were making VI$TA, now no one will hear from you.":rotfl: Oh, wait, that's bad for us
