Not bad, I think 1 to 3, but it's hard to determine. Is there a station that will tell you the seastate? It has happened to me in the first and second campaign missions(from the original box release.) so whatever the sea state is for those scenarios.

You'd have to check it in the editor.
I've breached a few times, but only in SS 4 or 5. You've already figured out how to compensate, so you should be fine.

As a big diver in the akula i havnt yet seen it again like molon said only realy breach if the sea is rough. but even then i dont spend long near the surface.

I dont mind if the sail breaches in heavy seas, but my problem is setting depth to 19m and the sub goes up to 17m before the diving officer catches a clue and the planesmen get the thing back to 19m.
