Spot on.

I was born in 1974. One of my favourite memories were the days when we would get milk bottles with the foil lid on the top. It was always a bit of a battle for who got to open the new bottle of milk and get the first pour. This first pour was prized because the milk at the top of the bottle was extra creamy which made ones breakfast cereal oh so delicious. Unfortunately now all milk is in cardboard or plastic cartons and the creamy bit at the top no longer exists.

So many people starved to death in China on account of my eating every last morsel on my plate.

I know a guy who stuck his head in a tiger's gaping maw and nothing happened. Therefore, I conclude that tigers are all gentle, and not the powerful, savage masters of death and the hunt that modern zoology portray them. Accordingly, I plan to raise my children with a plethora of big cats roaming the premises with impunity.

Yep - you missed the point. A lot of that point is when we grew up, we learned a ton about what not to do ourselves (ie. We learned ourselves not to put our hand or even our head into the tigers mouth!)- and no, we didn't die from doing it. I take it though that you must have grown up much later, which is fine. I made a new thread to deal with late comers since late comers have been sheltered way to much to even know how to deal with real life:

Ooh! Vitriol!

In actuality, I am refering to your first few statements. Most especially, the smoking and drinking while pregnant. We know of the harmful effects of this by the fact that many children died or were born with very serious deformities. The fact that your mother may have done so and that you had not been scathed indicates that you were lucky, not wise, just as the man with the tiger was.

I was born in '76. I am 30 years old. That I do not agree with you is not a prerequisite of youth and inexperience.

I was born in 1965. Damn I'm getting old. Time for the mid-life crisis. I'm not going to cheat on my wife....I'm going to go buy a super computer.

I loved growing up in the 70 and 80. TV pong at its bests

What happened to buying a Corvette? That is what you're supposed to do! I'd highly recommend it!

I'm just giving you a bad time. Yes, I disagree with the lines you disagree with, but alass, I'm still here too.

I keep my Lincoln. I like the ride better. My wife is 9 years younger than me and she is a sweet ride also. But, I would like a car from the 50's to restore. Maybe a 1958 Plymouth Fury

And if you spend all your free time on that super computer what would your wife think? My wife refers to the computer as the mistress and she has threatened to sabotage my SHIII GWX campaign. I responded by saying no need to bother with that as I have the sabotage option enabled via SHIII Commander. She was not impressed after that.
