Yeah, back to the process of rewarding bad behavior.

Note, that NK has already declared that they are putting nukes on hold for the moment. Which means when they want more free stuff given to them, they'll do it all over again.

To play devils advocate - maybe he is right? And another thought, so what if N. Korea has the bomb? They have no way to miniturize it yet for installation on a missile. They are 100 years practically at their rate from being able to fully grasp what it is they need to do to make it any real threat.

Maybe we should also let Iran have their bomb? Maybe So should the Saudis, and so should Syria. Give them bomb to all of them! Trust me - they will nuke themselves with it and we will be done with the Middle East once and for all. This may not bode well for Isreal, but I am confident the crafty Isrealies will find a technological means to protect itself from its overly aggressive neighbors. Lasers and nuke detectors are making great strides and should be ready for any kind of threat for them.

I think my plan is the best way forward.

If it is true that they already have enough plutonium created to build " a dirty dozen", then this deal earns them what they need most: the time to set the plan into reality. The facility to create plutonium then obviously is no longer needed. Mark this day in you calender: Skybird agrees with Bolton's criticism for once. I think that american foreign policy here jumps from one extreme to the opposite extreme. But who says that that is any better? - If the nuclear test last year was a fake, and/or there is no plutonium stock in N-Korea, then this treaty will be good news, if both sides stick to it. If one side abandones it, it was not worth the ink to write it down.

Right now, I'm not too concerned with NK's Nuclear program.

1) Their Typodongs/"typodonkeys" don't work. All crashed into the ocean within 1 minute of flight.

and 2) Their first nuclear test was a failure.

All in all, I think they have a better chance of accidentally nuking themselves than sending one accross the pond.
