Could someone please explain the financial aspects of running for president in the United States ...

Isn't it true that federal tax monies is extended to these indviduals ...

and it doesn't depend on if you are rich or poor ... didn't there use to be a little check box on the tax return asking if you wanted to ear mark $1.00 to the presidental elections?

Isn't it true that this election campaign is going to run in the neighborhood of one (1) billion dollars of private and public funds? That's ten (10) one hundred million dollars ...

My, my what a pleasant way to come to work everyday knowing that someone else is paying the bills.
