I've not seen any other spaces in the screen shots other than a large control room and conning tower. In SH3 we really had 3 main spaces, each with 2 to 4 sub-spaces or stations. In SH4, we may just have 2 large spaces (Control Room & Conning Tower), probably with several sub-spaces. It looks like we are losing the entire forward space of Capt'n's Cabin, Radio Room, Sonar Room, and Passage-way that is in SH3.
The trade-off looks like we get very active 3D spaces and much improved sea graphics. Not to mention, much better game play from what I'm reading. I can live with that, but I do enjoy wandering around in my IXB.

I rarely wandered the sub in SH3. So I can live without it. Just hope they get the outside wartime environment right.
