Welcome Aboard Matey
![]() To use GWX - You must have SH3 + 1.4b patch. The installation must be 'clean' (i.e no file changes or mods) You can't use any previous career saves. Other possible problems - All mods (to be safe ![]() Any file changes must be done the same way. SH3Cmdr must be rolled back (if you use it). Save Bugs, saving too near ports, ships or while submerged. Possible solution - Try loading the career save directly before you started having problems. Try a new career to see if you experience the same problem. Run the MD5 Checker program to make sure your d/l of GWX is not corrupted. Last resort - Roll back SH3Cmdr Unistall SH3 Remove SH3 folder in My Docs Remove Registry entries relating to SH3 (if you're happy doing this) Reinstall SH3 Patch to 1.4b Run GWX installer Enable the Dec 23rd Fix's Try again.

After running the Uninstall, do a search and locate the Silent Hunter directory. Delete the Silent Hunter directory. Do the same for SH3 Commander.
The uninstall does not remove all the files from this directory so when you do a reinstall you will have a conflict when you try to reinstall the 1.4 patch. If you don't already have it, I use and recommend a free program called Crap Cleaner (or CCleaner). Do a Google search to find. Run the "cleaner" and the "issues" before you do the reinstall. You'll be surprised to see what this removes in leftover files, temp files, etc. I always run the cleaner and the issues before I close down my laptop. Also, run the issues until it finds none because it doesn't get them all in the first or second pass. |

Welcome to Subsim
Before unistalling Did you add\enable any other mods\addons when on patrol - ie not in base ? And when you get the error message if you click the more details it should tell you the problem IE Sim.Act etc Helps narrow down the cause Another thing you can try is to rename your SH3 folder in my documents Run the game so it creates a new one May be a simple problem there with the main.cfg |
