Default Oh my god!!!!!

Jamie and Sonalyst are doing things as fast as they can, and all the griping about how long it takes does not do any good. At least this group cares enough about US, that they work to improve the product. There has been many put out that once they had our money F...Y....
If some of you are programmers offer your assistance, me I am a burnout, over weight, bald and old Nuke who enjoys the product and maybe age give me Patience, but I trust this site and this company and I know we will get things as soon as they can.
If this post upsets some of you, well talk about my Mother and call me names, that will have as much effect as hassling these people does. Maybe it will give you something else to focus on, or you could pick lint out of you belly button and make a pillow.

A Subsim, Sonalyst, and Jamie c supporter all the way,

Ron Banks MMCM(SS), USN(Ret)

A recent realization of mine is that the dw patches aren't all bugfix patches, though they do that too. They are feature-adding patches. 1.03 gave us an improved sound propagation system, 1.04 will give a new buoyancy system... Gee, I'm almost getting exited at what engine improvements will be in 1.05

hm... you know, I'ld forgotten what 1.03 was incorporating besides the physics changes. It was a sonar model upgrade I forgotten...

guess its just a waiting game for now.

I really didn't expect 1.04 to be released this quickly!

Time to try it out.

I absolutely love the new models for the OHP, 688i, and freighter! The 3d screws are a nice touch. I think I'll be driving the 688i more often, now that it looks sooo much better.

Did you notice the Helo got some work done too? It's got something a bit more substantial to do the unzippity dippity with now. I'm sure the crew is swelling with pride!

Oh yes, it was a very nice touch.

Agreed. The model enhancements are nice. Yes, I think the Akula's that were done in SCX are beautiful and need to be implemented. But the 688(I) enhanced with this patch looks great.

One thing I saw in the readme that got me excited was the 50% chance of a torpedo detonating on a CM. I already know about lwami. It's just that it's in the official stock version that excites me.

Not only that, but there is an option to modify the probability that torpedos will hit dead platforms, or sinking platforms.

Those 2 options are really great.

Actually you can change the value, from 0 to 100 percent for those two new variables in the dangerouswaters.ini file.

- Added variable in "dangerouswaters.ini" which controls the likelihood of all weapons acquiring
dead/sinking platforms (e.g. ".PercentDeadPlatformsIgnored 0" up to ".PercentDeadPlatformsIgnored 100").
In multi-player matches, the host's .INI setting will be used by all players. By default
the value is set to ".PercentDeadPlatformsIgnored 10".
...

Am I to dumb, or is there some logical error?
If weapon acquires - it don't ignores.
If weapon ignores - it don't acquires

What means ".PercentDeadPlatformsIgnored 10" ?

A) 10% of all dead platforms will be ignored - which would mean the case a weapon aquires is 90%

or

B) 90% of all dead platforms will be ignored - which would mean the case a a weapon aquires is 10%

maybe my english is just too bad...

That would imply that the default setting is for weapons to ignore 10% of dead platforms... and yes it is written a bit ackwardly.

Cheers,
David

The readme looks promising and the new texture of the 668(i) posted by Molo is excellent!. I'm going to download the patch wheen I get home tonight... :-)

P.S. No more TA cutting in the Akula. Goldorak, do you fancy a multi-station?... ;-)
