Mine's March 26th. But I live in Slovenia, so there is a small chance we'll get it by then,

Seems way too early to me. But then again, I'm not a developer and have no idea of how far they've gotten.

Default Canadian Release Date

Does anyone know if the Canadian release date will be the same as the US one?

Im sure the Canadian release date will either be between the US and UK release dates or same as US.

Ubisofts description of the game has just made waiting for the game even harder for me :p

Large Scale Naval Engagements: Epic naval engagements can be witnessed by players either firsthand or via radio messages and orders from high command.

Innovative crew evolution: Earn upgrades and experience to guide the evolution path of crewmembers, making your men the most effective naval force in the Pacific theatre.

Addictive Online New Adversarial Mode: Join forces with up to 8 friends via LAN or 4 via internet in either cooperative or adversarial gameplay modes. Scripted and generated mission types allow for epic online battles and unlimited replayability.

It all sounds so great. especially the Naval Engagement bit

I would recommend all gamers have at the minimum 1 GB of Ram, which is what I have at the moment. 512 may hit the minimum specs but I am sure that will be barely sufficient, if at all.
Ram is cheap, get 2GB, it can make all the difference in the world.

Also I have a Geforce 6600 256MB, this is a low end card now and are very cheap. IMHO anything less than this class of card will limit your gaming experience.

As it is I have to run all newer games with most of the graphic options turned off.

My rig
AMD 64 3000
Geforce 6600 256MB
Sound Blaster Value
1 GB Ram

I bought this rig 2 years ago from CyberPower for just over $1000.(dirt cheap)
It was roughly mid range when I bought it, now it barely qualifies as a low end system.

Gizzmoe, will an AMD Athlon64 work? It runs at 2ghz, but also uses the cool and quiet tech too.

I'm eagerly awaiting the MP myself. Can't wait to take command of a pack of Japanese destroyers.

Perhaps is the same engine of sh3, but a bit improved.

512 is the minmimum i think, it means stutter, and very long load times
also consider the next mods of the comunity ...

the best is 1Gb or more with a decent graphic card and a + 2.0 gz cpu

Default System Specs and SHIV

I have a 3.0 Ghz P4 Processor, and 1.5 GB of DDR Ram (400 Mhz), so this should be enough to run SHIV. However, I am not so sure about my video card - it is an ATI Radeon 9600 All-In-Wonder TV Capture Card. It has no problems with SHIII, although my graphics are not as sharp as those in some of the screenshots in the SHIII forums. Does anyone know if this card will be sufficient for SHIV?

The Ati 9600 is an old card. I doubt it will handle this game well.
