Sounds logical to me. But if the cruise speed is hardcoded at 8 kn i think there's little someone can do. Setting the maximum range to the speed that the game recognizes as the most efficient (8 kn) is equally unrealistic, because you won't get far when running at 10 kn.

I wonder... :hmm: the IXD2 has a max. range of 23700 km at 12 knots!
Think about how far you be able to go by dropping the speed about 4 kn!
You start in 1943 when it's available and you never have to come back until the war is over.
