I always thought the EU in was a blunder in general, but this is just nutty. Like really, really nutty.

That's democracy for you. If you want voting then you have to accept that "evil" people might be voted in to power.
You can't have it both ways.

I think the biggest problem with centralised European politics is that not enough people are involved with it.
