Yes that's true, but there is another factor too, as I 've noticed that will get you detected immediately, which in GWX seems to be historically inaccurate.

I was shadowing a convoy, and sent a radio msg back to BdU. A few minutes later, a flower corvette that I had observed moving away from me turned 180 and came straight down on my bearing at full speed allthough I was rigged for silent running.

Huffduff or HF/DF reiceivers were not available by the allies before April/December 1941. Is this a hardcoded issue, or can you guys at GWX do something about that ?

Yes I have installed the Dec 23 update.
